Who Am I, do you know? Poetry

Who am I?

I am born your friend, even while my eyes are still closed. I believe in you, and have given myself to you. I will love you always, no matter what you do, no matter what happens, no matter how much time goes by. I will continue to trust when been betrayed and remain faithful to the end. I will be your friend, your partner, your defender. I will be yours faithful and true to the last beat of my heart.

In the early morning I will be there waiting to renew the pleasure of your presence. I will stick with you, comfort you, guard your sleep, and give my life for you. I will be waiting as you draw near home, and my eyes will look brighter when you are home. I will not quarrel or argue with you. I’ll never talk about myself and listen to you talk about yourself. I will bring out the best in you and bring a deep satisfaction to your whole life.

I will kiss the hand that had nothing to offer and understand, be faithful and kind no matter how poor. I won’t notice that you are old, ugly or unsuccessful. We will believe in ourselves because of the trust we have in each other. I believe you are what you think you are and offer thoughts of admiration and reassurance.

I will not take my eyes off you wherever you go. I will snuggle beside you close warming you and nibble your ear. I will be more than just a friend, a protector, a provider, and only have one request to you. My only ambition is to give you all my love, a friend for life.

You can’t get this devoted companionship, trust and affection from any other source. I am the only love money can buy, unqualified with very few demands. To me you are perfect.
