1937 – Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premieres at the Carthay Circle Theatre
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a 1937 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Productions and originally released by RKO Radio Pictures.
Snow White premiered at the Carthay Circle Theatre in Los Angeles, California on December 21st, 1937, followed by a nationwide release on February 4, 1938.

Based on the 1812 German fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, it is the first full-length cel animated feature film and the earliest Disney animated feature film.
It was a critical and commercial success and, with international earnings of more than $8 million during its initial release, (compared to its $1.5 million budget), it briefly held the record of highest-grossing sound film at the time.
Extra Note: The first attempt at a Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs video game was for the Atari 2600 as part of their line of children’s games. It was never officially released, although a “homebrew” version was made available on a limited basis.
